Similar to the international drinking rules, Thumb Master is usually played in conjunction with other games.
One person is named the ‘Thumb Master’. At any stage, if the ‘Thumb master’ places his or her thumb on the edge of a table, all other players must follow. The last person to notice and place their thumb on the table loses, and must drink. Since this is usually played as part of another drinking game, the way in which the person designated the ‘Thumb Master’ changes varies. In the case of Ring of Fire, it only changes once somebody else picks up the ‘Thumb Master’ card.
