Snakes and Ladders is a great board game to turn into a drinking game because of its simplicity, competitive element and the fact that everybody knows how to play.

How to play Snakes and Ladders

This game involves playing the board game Snakes and Ladders. The ultimate objective is identical – you have to reach the top. However, in the drinking game, climbing ladders or falling down snakes means giving out or taking drinks, respectively. For example, if you land on a snake that takes you down 4 levels, you have to drink 4 drinks. Alternatively, if you land on a ladder that takes you up 5 levels, you can give out 5 drinks to the player(s) of your choice. Finally, when a player wins the game, all other players have to finish their drink. Alternatively, a more extreme rule is that the losers have to drink as many squares as they are behind.
